Rain pouring through
all that is my open mind
the trains arrived, I unwind
Let the time get away from me in portals for a century
we find it so comforting, I see such an earthly thing a conforming ring, a noose around our fragile wings

To melt, to soar
perceptions ablaze
and we want less and less,
And less

Take it all away from us
send us out as only stardust and leave us on the highest peaks
Overlooking all the city
where we met
and you looked so pretty
smiles so deep upon
the ancient lands
trembling hands so
faintly weak
for just a moment
We were free
