DIY Sugaring Hair Removal

  • 2 cups white cane sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water

A 100% natural, cheap, easy and effective alternative to waxing! First mix ingredients in a heavy sauce pan over a medium-high heat. Stir the mixture often so that it doesn’t overheat at the bottom. Cook slowly. After it comes to a boil, turn the heat down to low-medium and allow it to simmer for 25 minutes. Next stir the mix every now and then. After the 25 minutes of simmering, the sugar hair removal result should be a dark amber color (if it’s only vivid red, let it cook for a little longer). Remove it from the heat and let it cool for about 10 minutes. If it’s too hard, add one tablespoon of water into the mixture and microwave it until it gets hot. Store it in a plastic container or something of the sort and everytime you want to re-use it just warm it in the microwave for some seconds. Use as you’d use wax. It’s water-soluble, as well. some tips: add a little baby powder to the skin before you wax and rub a little aloé vera after waxing.
